Space Nordic - Advancing Space Collaboration Across the Nordics
We are pleased to announce that space collaboration is now strengthening at the international level!
The Space Nordic project was launched on June 1 with the aim of unifying the Nordic space sector and enhancing its global competitiveness. Over the next three years, Space Nordic will map the member countries’ areas of expertise and improve their international visibility in the rapidly growing space sector. The project partners are Space Denmark (coordinating organization) and the University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), Tampere University (Finland), Uppsala Innovation Centre and Innovatum Science Park (Sweden), and the Norwegian Space Cluster (Norway). The Space Nordic project is funded by Nordic Innovation.
The objective of the project is to create a unified network that highlights the unique expertise of each partner country and strengthens the Nordic space sector brand. The project shares several goals with the SpacEconomy project. In particular, synergies arise from strengthening international networks, benefiting both the SpacEconomy project and the Finnish space ecosystem in the future.
Among its outputs, the Space Nordic project will produce a comprehensive infrastructure catalogue and a joint plan for disseminating scientific results. Key deliverables also include science communication tools that support the transfer of research results into international use, such as a Nordic branding kit. These joint dissemination activities will also increase the international visibility of the results of the SpacEconomy project. The project raises the profile of partner countries by jointly participating in key international space events.
Space Nordic invites all actors in the Nordic space ecosystem to join in building the future of the region’s space sector. Read more on the project’s website spacenordic.com.
