WP7 – Interaction and Dissemination
Lead: Jari Mäkinen (Kupla Productions Oy)
WP7 ensures broad societal impact by coordinating dissemination and interaction across public, private, academic and civic stakeholders. It supports internal consortium communication while building dynamic interfaces between SPACECONOMY and society through workshops, exhibitions, media outreach, policy dialogues and citizen engagement.
WP7 combines traditional science communication with participatory and digital approaches to raise awareness of Finland’s role in the space economy and to foster two-way dialogue that aligns project outputs with stakeholder needs.
Activities include establishing communication mechanisms, developing consortium branding, maintaining a public website and intranet, producing newsletters and multimedia content, and organizing annual exhibitions at the Winter Satellite Workshop.
WP7 also coordinates engagement with policymakers, civil servants and external innovation events such as SLUSH and Junction. A citizen panel gathers public welfare perspectives, supporting WP6 foresight and WP4 governance design. WP7 ensures that project knowledge is accessible, policy-relevant and socially embedded, strengthening long-term ownership of Finland’s space economy transition.
